The rapidly rising young electro-pop quartet Metro Station headline thd Disco Balls & Blow Up Dolls tour, showcasing sets from stellar support acts including the alternative hip-hop duo Shwayze, pop rapper Tyga, and emergent New Jersey popsters Cash Cash. The latest single from the band's debut album "Metro Station", has been awarded RIAA Gold and Platinum certifications and their "Shake It" music video has been viewed more than 9 million times on YouTube. Since the band's inception in late 2006, critics have been incredibly responsive to the fresh young sound of Metro Station, with Rolling Stone picking the band as a "Breaking Artist" in August.

Featuring prominent piano riffs and anthemic pop/rock melodies, OneRepublic were formed in 2002 by producer/songwriter Ryan Tedder and lead guitarist Zach Filkins. The two quickly left their home base of Colorado Springs and relocated to Los Angeles, where keyboardist Drew Brown, bassist/cellist Brent Kutzle, and drummer Eddie Fisher joined the lineup. OneRepublic then signed with Sony BMG's Columbia label in 2003; three years later, however, the band returned from a performance at Coachella to find themselves dropped from Columbia's roster. Nevertheless, their popularity continued to soar on /MySpace, and Tedder helped raise the group's profile through his own songwriting projects for other artists. Hip-hop producer Timbaland (with whom Tedder had already worked for several years) took notice of the group's growing audience and signed OneRepublic to his own Mosley Music Group, a joint venture with Interscope Records. Timbaland also remixed one of the group's most promising tracks, "Apologize," and included it on his own album, 2007's Timbaland Presents Shock Value. The song quickly became a platinum-selling single in many countries, breaking airplay records in the U.K. and America. Later that year, OneRepublic made their official public bow with the full-length Dreaming Out Loud.

The Killers

After the release of their debut album Hot Fuss in 2004, the Killers began touring outside of Las Vegas. Their first stop was the UK, where they caught the ears of the veteran fans of the bands they were influenced by, like Oasis. The Killers quickly signed with the UK label Lizard King and their shows started selling out all over London. Hot Fuss has been classified 4x Platinum by the BPI and 3x Platinum by RIAA. The Killers also had chart success with their singles "Mr. Brightside," which shot to the Top 10 in the UK and US, and "All These Things That I've Done." Mainstream success came when they re-released "Somebody Told Me," which steadily climbed the Billboard 100 charts and hit No. 3 in the UK.
