Central Texas holiday shoppers and families are invited to gather for a free performance from American Idol, Jordin Sparks during before The Domain Lighting of Macy’s Great Tree presented by Cadillac. The Domain will kick-off the holiday season with a grand tree lighting spectacular event highlighted by a special performance by Jordin Sparks, who is twice nominated for the 2008 MTV Video Music Award’s for Best New Artist and Best Female Video. The Central Texas holiday tradition will offer one-of-a-kind holiday events including:

Special Live Performances: Jordin Sparks, Dan Dyer, Christian Life Church Choir

Holiday Traditions: A 40-foot Christmas tree with more than 6,000 lights, 400 ornaments and a five-foot star topper, Weekly firework displays,Strolling carolers, Holiday entertainment from the stage in the park, Complimentary Horse-drawn carriage rides

The 33rd annual Armadillo Christmas Bazaar will once again be at the Austin Convention Center. It remains the same truly Austin honky-tonk bar shopping experience that has made the Armadillo Christmas Bazaar one of the region's most beloved holiday traditions - just a bigger venue. This year it will once again be from 11 am to 11 pm every day from December 12th to December 24th.

There are 35 musical performances already booked on the Capital Metro Music Stage with more to come, a bar, food, over 130 local and regional fine artists and craftspeople, plus that special Austin feeling that can only be found here. This is the real, the original Armadillo Christmas Bazaar! Enjoy dancing in the aisles while shopping for fine art and distinctive gifts right here in downtown Austin. So come join us for a unique Austin tradition and show your support for the local artists and musicians who keep Austin cool.

2009 Rodeo Austin Gala w/ Clint Black & Sara Evans

On Saturday February 7th, 2009 Rodeo Austin will host its annual black tie evening, the Rodeo Austin Gala, at the Palmer Events Center. Country superstars Clint Black and Sara Evans will be performing. Funds raised by the gala will benefit Rodeo Austin's mission of Promoting Youth Education----Preserving Western Heritage. Gala guests are treated to the works: A four-course meal, a fully stocked bar, silent auction shopping, raffle drawings for luxury gifts and live entertainment from two of Nashville's hottest stars.
