Do512 Presents! A Happy Hour at Music Cafe w/ Danny Malone, Alex Dupree and Legs Against Arms

We invite you all to come out and join us for a FREE show at Music Cafe on South Lamar. Danny Malone has been raised on local Texas music. He’s taken his rockin’ roots to an extreme with originally energetic melodies and very insightful lyrics. His sound has been described as indie/folk/alt country, but like most true contemporary artists, his sound defies categorization. In review of his first full-length studio effort, ‘Cuddlebug,’ one critic remarked "not since The Counting Crows released August and Everything After in 1994 has an album achieved a perfect balance between intelligence and accessibility."

As for Legs Against Arms, here's a review courtesy of the Austin Sound:

"Following was Legs Against Arms, a fairly new quartet to the Austin music scene. They exploded off the stage with enthusiasm and excitement. Bruce Ewing was a fireball bouncing off Daniel Dillon and visa versa, the dual front man combination making for a versatile and dynamic show. The differences in their vocals and instrumental contributions add a lot of depth to a unique sound, while the rhythm section keep up the momentum and their ability to switch instruments and still work cohesively gives them an edge."

$1.50 High Lifes and Buy One Get the Second 1/2 Off Pizzas all night!

RSVP to let us know you're coming!

LYLE LOVETT AND HIS LARGE BAND

Click "I Like It!" for a chance to win free tickets!

Four-time Grammy Award winner Lyle Lovett is equally comfortable in pop, rock, blues and country. Born just outside Houston, Lovett is one of America’s great songwriters and has a gift for big band arrangements that has no precedent among his contemporaries. He also displays a literary talent that has made him part of the tradition of American ironists.

While music should be and is open for interpretation by the listener, Lovett’s new album, IT’S NOT BIG IT’S LARGE, suggests notions of mortality, loss and the fluidity of time. That sounds like heavy-going, but its Lovett’s gift to make the deep thoughts slide down like honey.
