Chappell/ Ohlerking Paintings/Photography

Chris Chappell and David Ohlerking created the Austin Figurative Project partly in order to work from live models instead of photos. Now in an apparent backsliding into 'From-Life' apostasy they will show their photography and the work they have created by mixing 'from-life' painting and photography. All of this is OK because their mentor/idol/patron saint Mr. Kanevsky works that way.

SoyMilkMakesYouGay.com, along with artist David Ohlerking, are asking for artwork "themed around Unity—a theme that [Paris] Hilton's famous video brought to public awareness." They're going to show works in the Austin Figurative Gallery whenever they get around to it. The show will be named "Manifest Unity".

David Ohlerking Paintings of Play Stuff

Paintings of people doing play stuff, at a place where people do plays and play stuff. Done by a painter who has been inexplicably sucked into the theatrical swirling vortex but is pretty cool with that. Art opening is from 6-8pm. Show will stay up for more than one night, for realz.
