Over the past few years there has been a boom on liquor and spirit-making in the Austin area. One bottle at a time, local distilleries are proving that Texas can hold its own against world-class spirits. Entire events have been planned using only locally produced vodka, rum, and bourbon, a clear sign that interest in Texas spirits and cocktails is on the rise.
Some of the Austin Liquor Brands that have made their mark include Deep Eddy Vodka, Treaty Oak Rum, Savvy Vodka, Garrison Brothers Bourbon, Tito's Vodka, Pecan Street Rum, Dripping Springs Vodka, and Paula's Texas Spririts. A few distributors that have set up shop in Austin are Ambhar Tequila, Dulce Vida Tequila, Republic Tequila, and Z Tequila. There are also several new local brands in the works that have yet to be released.
