Austin Warehouse District Bars

As you wander the west side of Downtown any night of the week, stop by one of these Austin warehouse district bars for a fun time in a historic neighborhood. Located just west of the city’s central business district, Austin warehouse district bars offer a somewhat more upscale experience than the Austin sixth street scene. Former warehouses in the area have been renovated into unique restaurants, bars and dance clubs, which lends a rustic vibe to the district.

There’s a lot of Austin music history contained within the walls of Antone’s. Legends and major acts such as Stevie Ray Vaughn got a major push through performances at Antone’s, and now many artists are attracted to this historical venue, hoping to also get their own major exposure on a larger stage.

You could end up at some dirty shot bar that probably won’t exist in a month, or you could spend an evening downtown at a legendary, authentically Austin locale. Cedar Street has live music, great martinis, and a whole lot of history.

Music is a great way to compliment getting a drink with a date, and the best music genreas to listen to while casually chit-chatting on a first date has to be jazz and blues. There are usually small cover charges on the weekends, but weekday shows are usually free. And you’ll easily impress your date for finding this hidden music lounge which you can refer to as your own “little secret”.
