Jason McMaster (vocals) * Jared Tuten (guitar) * Dave Beeson (guitar) Brett McCormick (bass) * Bruce Rivers (drums)Stoked like a fire and ready to take a savage bite out of calendar year 2006, hard rock bruisers Broken Teeth are planning a vicious touring attack while finalizing another venomous record of snakebite rock-n-roll.With promise comes loss, however, as founding lead guitarist and co-songwriter Paul Lidel graciously bows out to secure some normalcy after eight years of service in the dirty trenches of rock-n-roll warfare. A lifer with riffs and creative ammo to spare, Lidel remains a Broken Teeth blood brother and will continue to contribute as a principal songwriter. Rather than grind to a halt, Broken Teeth has managed to find a killer filler in newcomer guitarist Dave Beeson who had long been lurking right underneath the bands collective bloody noses. Lidels former roommate and co-instructor at a local guitar school, Beeson is a veteran Austin hard rocker who had formerly helped fuel the band Octane with current Broken Teeth bassist, Brett McCormick. A longtime fan of Dangerous Toys, Dirty Looks and gods of thunder, Kiss and AC/DC, Beeson was quickly crowned Lidels successor, allowing Teeth to keep their rabid grip on tour plans and pending gigs.As the band hits an increasingly prolific stride, Broken Teeths live set has been injected with new songs such as Blood on the Radio, Bullets & Booze, Roll Over and Electric. As Beeson and fellow guitarist Jared Tuten tackle the crackle of Lidels leads, the hard-bitten Teeth -- fronted by screamer Jason McMaster and backed by banging Bruce Rivers on drums -- continue to unleash brass-knuckle knockouts on the local scene and beyond.By design, destination beyond is rushing forward at a dizzying, but welcome pace. The new year will find a hungry Broken Teeth chewing up the road throughout the Midwest, East Coast, South by Southwest and any other outlet bold enough to welcome the high-voltage power surge. Along the way, the band will continue to write, record and otherwise conspire to spit out a new album by early 2007.Open wide and consider yourself warned. Broken Teeth has a hard-earned chip on its shoulder and in the coming years, its here to stay.
