Formed from a crew of kids who enjoy the simplicity of skateboarding all day, grabbing a dollar slice, and hopping the turnstile, Cerebral Ballzy is a band that carries these simplistic qualities into their fast paced punk sound. Tired from skating one day, the Cerebral Ballzy Crew kicked back with a dollar Coors and, without any thought, each picked up an instrument to play. The collective sound was Cerebral Ballzy: a representation of a foolishly fast and contagiously fun lifestyle. Humorously labeling themselves as “concrete jungle punk,” the band embodies such influential hardcore as Bad Brains, Suicidal Tendencies and the Ramones but gain influence from their surrounding Brooklyn scene’s character.
