Formed at Edinburgh College of Art in spring 2007, Come On Gang! immediately started writing the sort of music they wanted to hear on a night out: punky guitars, driving bass, inspired sing-along lyrics and melodies that get firmly stuck spinning through your head. Their 2nd gig was a sold out slot at T on The Fringe supporting Angus & Julia Stone. The band has since played with everyone from Glasvegas and Islands, to Big Pink and Florence & The Machine. Having built up a live set full of energy, passion and melody, the band quickly started gigging all over the UK and overseas. After creating a strong buzz in Scotland, the band was proud to secure a full-time management deal. Having been called Radio Scotland’s ‘One to Watch’, released their first single to critical acclaim and generally complimented by every radio station and press organisation in Scotland, the band won Tbreak 2008 and played to a packed crowd at T in The Park. Whilst there, the BBC invited the band to perform an exclusive acoustic set, giving them the opportunity to rework some of their live favourites. From there, Come On Gang! went back into the studio with their producer to record several more songs, of which “Fortune Favour the Brave” will be released in Spring 2009. The band launched their 2nd single in December 2008 and, after a successful pre-Christmas London trip, Come On Gang! are happy to now be working with a couple live representitives. With the NME tipping them for success and SXSW Festival confirming them as the first Scottish act for ’09, the future looks bright for Come On Gang! Listen at Last.fm
