DAWN and HAWKES Texas Folk-Rock Duo. A year after their happenstance meeting while dancing, the two singer-songwriters; Miranda Dawn and Chris Hawkes, joined together to multiply their talents as a male-female fronted band touring the country and sharing shows, songs, and everything in-between. The debut EP (GOLDEN HEART) showcases their deeply rooted influences in the lone-star states’ mix of folk songwriting, rock, country, rhythm and blues. Dawn was awarded as a NEW FOLK finalist at the 2012 Kerrville Folk Festival. Hawkes has been featured on commercial radio and television shows for his original compositions and production work.
