He can’t remember all the specifics of his wack life, otherwise we’d know all the embarrasing details. We know that he grew up in Southern California and in high school he released a cassette tape of Eazy-E inspired gangster rap tunes recorded with keyboard and an organ. He was notoriously known as White Chocolate and his cassette release of "4-eva" still remains to be found along with many of his many other freestyling sessions and mix tapes that at some point unabashedly circled the underground hip hop scene like wildfire. They were not good. I don’t even think they were funny. After high school he moved to Utah for school and at some point in the summer of 2001 or 2002 he met Micah Dahl Anderson and was pretty spellbound by his songwriting and convinced him to let him sing along with him, where within a few embarrassingly honest shows he was nicknamed "Dancing Drew" for his singing and dancing alongside of Micah. This we believe led to Drew’s own songwriting in which he convinced Micah to help him record a few songs. Recording a few songs led Drew to convincing Micah in starting a band so that the songs he would write would be better. Micah agreed to it only if he could play drums which totally blew Drew’s mind because he didn’t even know he could do such a thing. They called the band The Danburrys and in the first four months of its existence it went through a ridiculous amount of members/guitarists and was about to fizzle out (as well as Drew’s songwriting) until Drew met Josh Rosenberg and they started collaborating and writing songs together. Josh convinced Drew to start playing the guitar to take up the slack with the band rather than the keytar which he had purchased so he could play an instrument instead of just singing. Micah and Rob Myers (both original members of the band) agreed to keep playing with Josh in the band for a short while whereupon they recorded a demo and played locally. After a year Josh left the band and the band continued on without him with Drew playing guitar full-time as he had become proficient enough in the past year of playing and singing. When Drew proposed a tour to the rest of the band the rest of the members decided it was time to go their separate ways and Drew decided to go ahead with the idea and tour himself. After a few rough tours trying to organize a backing band on the road and selling homemade copies of his first album "An Introduction To Sex Rock" he began touring alone with just his guitar in a little red car. Beginning in 2005 he re-released his first album "An Introduction To Sex Rock" and released his second album "Besides: Are We Just Playing Around Out Here Or Do We Mean What We Say?" and began touring nationally. He toured extensively with the bands Lydia, The Robot Ate Me and Aubrey Debauchery. In 2006, he did a seven month long national tour trying to play pretty much everywhere he possibly could in the United States. He toured for short stints with Harry and the Potters, Aubrey Debauchery, TaughtMe, and Seve Vs. Evan. He met Elliot Maldonado who began to play banjo with him and in the fall they embarked on a two month long self-booked and promoted European tour. It was indescribable. They decided to name their band/themselves Drew Danburry/Fatal Fury and the Lasercats for reasons explained elsewhere and in other media forums. In 2007, Drew released Drew Danburry/Fatal Fury and the Lasercats’s "Live In France!" a live album from two separate shows recorded in France and toured with the bands Lilu Dallas, BigBigCar, Jacob Smigel, The Robot Ate Me, Aubrey Debauchery, Riesage, and Iji. At the turn of July he marked his 500th show at Kilby Court in Salt Lake City since his tour kickoff there in February 2005 and announced his indefinite hiatus from touring for a chance to recoup physically, emotionally and financially. He moved back home to California and tried to work a "normal" job for the rest of the year to little avail. He began playing with different people and organizing a band and recording in his room excessively. In 2008, he released the Mother EP and toured extensively throughout the spring despite many financial setbacks and bad luck as usual. He signed to the label Emergency Umbrella and released the album "This Could Mean Trouble, You Don’t Speak For The Club" and had a most disastrous tour in the fall of 2008 with the backing band cancelling last minute and a week stuck in Florida waiting for a new engine for his car among many other financial setbacks, and other stressful situations. Pushing hard in 2009 with a plan to tour with a band (again), scheduled dates at Daytrotter, SXSW, touring with Ryland Bouchard (The Robot Ate Me), Emperor X and Someone Still Loves You Boris Yeltsin, there is a lot of hope for Drew Danburry’s eventual success and reckoning of debt?
