Quit Mumbling on Hooray for Earth
7 months agoTweet New York City's Hooray for Earth brings a new twist to revivalist 80's synth pop. Their sound fits both the club and the beach, but might be even better suited for a pair of headphones. The reggae-powered "True Love" begs for a celebration. It drifts over a punching beat with a floating melody, which only explodes with excitement during every chorus. On the other hand, "Sails" nears the edge of darkness. Hooray for Earth abandons the bright pop of "True more here

Quit Mumbling on Hooray for Earth
7 months agoI think it was ever since I saw the back cover of the Harvest LP, I’ve had a certain soft spot for music played in sheds. There is something so romantic about aged wood, dusty floors, and a hint of mildew in the air that adds a wonderful mysticism to a few guys getting together and just jamming. It was warm L.A. night outside the shed, made only more welcoming with a spinning disco ball, glowing Christmas lights, and the enchanting art rock of Brooklyn’s Hooray For Earth. In the midst of downtown L.A. we set more here

Quit Mumbling on Hooray for Earth
9 months agoHere's a huge announcement: Quit Mumbling, Guns In The Sun, Hit City USA, & MFG present Spring Break, an unofficial SXSW event. Collectively, we're bringing you some of our favorite music from the last two years. The Men's sophomore release Open Your Heart has quickly jumped to the top of our favorite releases so far this year, with a killer tracklisting of melodic, full throttle punk rock. By year's end, we are sure this will still be on rotation, and for that reason, we can't wait to host them. Hooray more at elbo.ws
