In 1997 Mike Rosenthal left his job as newspaper reporter in Maine and moved to Austin, TX, to pursue music full time. In 2000 he released his debut self-titled album, a warmly reviewed collection of heartfelt, country-inspired songs about break ups and lonely winters back east. Most recently, Rosenthal returned to the studio to demo five new songs, as yet unreleased but available on this site. He currently lives in Austin with his wife, photographer Jennie Trower, and Ginger, their dog.
