over 1 year agoThis bilingual indie dance quartet answers the question that no doubt lingers in the mind of every music fan: “What would it sound like if David Bowie was the lead singer of Depeche Mode and sang half of his songs in Spanish?” The answer, thankfully is that it would sound phenomenal, and Rey Pila delivers, weaving funk and electronica into tunes that you will be unable to get out of your head, maybe ever. Far from being superficial, they effortlessly slide between peppy and melancholic, wistful and romantic, giving a perfectly balanced album.
