Hometown: London, England
Christopher Mercer, who goes by the alias Rusko, quickly
immersed himself in the dubstep community after graduating with a musical
performance degree from Leeds University in England. Since building up his
chops alongside fellow DJ/producer Caspa, Rusko has become a busy man with a
big name in the dub world.
The rowdy “Cockney Thug” is an underground hit
that’s been played by Diplo, Switch and Santigold. Rusko has also remixed
Prodigy, Basement Jaxx, Kid Cudi and Little Boots. This spring, he undertook
his first headlining tour in the U.S.
