Scanners

Scanners (formed 2005) are a London, United Kingdom based band consisting of Sarah Daly (vocals/bass/violin), Matthew Mole (guitar/vocals/synth), Amina Bates (guitar/keys) and Tom Hutt (drums). Signed by label owner and DJ Steve Aoki to his indie label Dim Mak. They have been blogged by Perez Hilton with the title "Perez Pushes The Scanners" and have played on NBC’s Last Call with Carson Daly. Their music has been used in U.S tv shows Life, Entourage and One Tree Hill, motion pictures Mamma’s Boy and Endgame ,and a Renault Car Advert. Their song Raw has become a cult hit with EA Gamers of NHL Ice Hockey. They have played shows alongside bands like The Charlatans, Air, Mystery Jets, ¡Forward, Russia!, Datarock and Devo. Their debut album, Violence Is Golden, was released in 2006 on Dim Mak in the US and in 2008 in the UK. They have just recorded their new album co produced by Stephen Hague which will be out 2009. Since March 2005 SCANNERS have toured with The Wedding Present, The Fever, The Presidents of the USA, The Organ and have supported The Rakes The Bravery. Electric Six and Julliette Lewis and the LIcks. -————- Their Songs have been played by Radio 1 and Xfm and their debut album was released in the US on Dim mak Records on June 6 2006. Theyve already made one trip to LA and San Fransisco and are looking forward to taking in more of the States when they come back in October
