Scott Kay

Hometown: St. Louis, MO

SCOTT KAY AND THE CONTINENTALS is a St. Louis, Missouri band defining its niche in the ever-expanding world of rockabilly and Americana music. Honored with a 2006 St. Louis Music Award for “Best Americana Band/Public Choice,” the band has also been featured on the Greaser’s Lunchbox radio show in St. Louis, the Rockabilly Moodswing radio show in Kansas City, and has shared the stage with several touring acts including the Blasters, Big Sandy and his Fly-Rite Boys, Deke Dickerson, Junior Brown, Wanda Jackson, and the “Brown-Eyed Handsome Man” himself, Chuck Berry. The 2006 self-titled CD release, Scott Kay and the Continentals, demonstrates the versatility, range, musicianship, and raw energy the band is known for.

SCOTT KAY AND THE CONTINENTALS’ music conjures up the sights and sounds of smoke-filled honky tonks, 50’s diners, Texas ice houses, and Memphis barbecue joints. Upon attending a Scott Kay and the Continentals show, it is very common to see swing dancers, greasers, country two-steppers, honky tonkers, club kids, and old-time rock-n-rollers boppin’ to the same beat. Along with an extensive list of club dates, Scott Kay and the Continentals play for weddings, corporate events, outdoor festivals, private parties, barn dances, and pig roasts.
