The Self-Righteous Brothers are a rock three-piece of multi-instrumentalists that pride themselves on deftly switching from a harmony heavy rock trio to a multi-member group featuring the banjo, glockenspiel, and horn section. Founded in winter of 2003 by a sudden bolt of lightening that hailed down from the heavens, the SRB's immediately saw that it was good, and began working feverously to please the Gods that had created them.

Their first EP, The Squirrel of Life, recorded at Wooly Mammoth, showed both the band's promise and their raw enthusiasm for music. Armed with The Squirrel, the Brothers toured nationally with local heartthrobs Apollo Sunshine in the summer of 2004. In addition, the band has performed locally with several talented bands including, The Lot Six, Officer May, State Radio, Bling Kong, Lake Trout and The Animal Closet. The SRB's seek to make every show they play memorable, peppering their sets of strong original songs with crowd pleasing covers such as "Under Pressure", "Man in the Mirror", and "Let's Go Crazy". Always humorous and energetic on stage, their live performances never lack vivacious spirit or costume. From fiber-optic angel wings to togas, the band thrives on live performances that are widely appreciated by friend and foe alike.
