"Super group" isn't a term that She Craves would use to describe themselves, but that hasn't stopped critics from using it. "If people want to call us a 'super group', that's okay, but the bands we all used to play in are the past," says singer Christine Ely. "She Craves is the here and the now." Rumors of what this new band would sound like started swirling around the Austin music scene when word leaked that the group had moved into Jacketweather Studios to begin crafting the songs on what would become their first EP "Come Around". The resounding consensus among critics is that She Craves shatters any pre-conceived notions of what the band could and would sound like. With hooks the size of Texas and a live show to match, She Craves peels away the excess layers of modern rock and crafts anthems that are instantly memorable and moving. Ely's lyrics are intensely personal and at the same time universal. Guitarist Matt Cole evokes the images Ely is singing about without sacrificing an ounce of snarl. Drummer Ben Mills and bassist Tim Brown stoke the band's engine with an unrelenting driving force and hypnotic presence. Rock and roll is new again. Rock and roll is exciting again. Rock and roll is dangerous again. She Craves is rock and roll.
