sparrow house is the work of jared van fleet (which is to say myself), usually recording alone but sometimes with the help of friends. i first started playing as sparrow house at the order of the owl shows in the summer of 2005, where along with peter and the wolf and co. we trekked by foot, and bicycle, and canoe, to an island and a freeway and a bus, and anyone who came did so because they meant it. well, that was a good experience, and i continued playing with a lot of the same people at the tonewheel collective residency at beerland in austin.

at the moment, i'm not staying in any one place for long. i'm releasing four ep's this year, each based around a season, which pull together old material i wrote and recorded over the past few years, mostly while i was in school at the university of texas. the first ep, falls, is already available, and the second, television snow, will be released in the next few weeks.

i'm also a keyboardist and guitarist in voxtrot.
