The new as-yet-untitled album from Spoon is set to release this summer on July 10th. Following The Arcade Fire’s chart-busting Neon Bible, the album will be another of Merge’s most hotly anticipated releases yet. Spoon’s new album is a 10-track follow up to the band’s 2005 release Gimme Fiction, including the gloriously mispelled “Rhthm And Soul†and “Don’t You Evah.â€
In support of the forthcoming album, Spoon has set tour dates on the East Coast this spring and summer including dates on the Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival and Sasquatch! Festival. A full tour is planned for the fall.
