Small Town Sun. Miles of Old Experience, and Phrases of some Akward Potential, in The New Caddilac Suburban Sprawl.....I (Sweet Lee Morrow) was born and raised in Dallas/Fort Worth Tx. I came up with the name Sweet Lee Morrow in 1995. The name comes from the inside sleeve of the first Tripping Daisy cd, Bill, or "sweet William Lee Morrow" as it were. At the age of 16 I formed a band and began playing locally. The name Sweet Lee Morrow spread quickly throughout the local club scene. At the age of seventeen I joined The Polyphonic Spree who over the next five years I sang and played keys for. I left the Spree to fulfill my own musical goals and aspirations. I now live in Austin Tx. where S.L.M. has become a a three piece band consisting of myself, Jared Jackson (drums/percussion), and Colin Peden (bass). Jared formerly played drums for The Danes and The Golden Falcons. Colin also works with Knife in the Water, and The Chalk Outlines. Ironically, the two have been friends for over ten years and only now have begun playing music together. Bands Sweet Lee Morrow has opened for include groups like Smog, Pleasant Grove, Radiant, and The Polyphonic Spree.
