Punk / Rock / Alternative TRIED I FAILED I LEARNED, and then ... The Binge is a "melodic" rock band based in San Diego. First off, the name regards the eating habits of Americans today...most of our songs are very informative, on food, and pharmaceutical companies denying the fact that there are cures for almost all diseases. According to the FDA only drugs can cure diseases. The name has nothing to do with drinking all crazy. There are four talented members of the group, each putting in his part to make the whole. There isn't one song writer, but four. Our influences range from Michael Jackson to Anti-Flag, to Guns N' Roses and Children of Bodom. Scott Landy, plays bass and fills the songs with a movement that forces you to pay attention. Wayne Helgeson plays guitar and laces the songs with leads that reminisce Johnny Cash and At The Drive In. Chipper Castro is the mouth piece of the group. His intensity and catchy vocal melodies drive the crowds to scream the lyrics back, even if it's their first experience with The Binge. Drew Smith powers the engine with beats that you can't help but rock your head to ... if you're not moshing. All said, The Binge is a hard working, well put together machine with an important message to convey.
