The Focus Group formed in 2003 as an improvisational, atmospheric project that held a brief residency at a San Diego bar. After a short hiatus they reformed with a lineup change and a more deliberate format. The Focus Group has been a result of a collaboration between San Diego musicians who have been in the bands: The Dropscience, Spanakorzo, The Champaign Kiss and The 20th Century Lepers. The group has played with some pretty nice bands such as The Wedding Present, The Cribs and Nine Black Alps. They have released an EP that was first available on their tour of England, Scotland and Ireland in March of 2006, which is available below.
