These four seeds, sprouted from Texas' shit-soiled surburban wastelands are the true rock n' roll fan's new favorite band. Their music bleeds with sounds forged from the nasty attitudes of rock n' roll's baddest boys. Though the cum stains of the NEW YORK DOLLS, DEAD BOYS, and REPLACEMENTS are evident, these lads put their own John Hancock on America's original musical rebellion. For several years now THE URGENCIES, have been sending showgoers home from their raucous live performances with new affinities for all that is heartfelt, nasty and guitar driven. Though the band is young, it has been a work in progress for some time. These boys and girls (sometimes but not always together), spent their infant years haunting some premier punk/garage outfits such as TEEN COOL, THE MATERIALISTICS, PURE RUBBISH, THE RITCHIE WHITES, THE WINKS, DEAD SEXY, RIVERBOAT GAMBLERS and THE ENDS. The close of 2004 found Ptera (drums), J.T. Trash (guitar/vox), Mike (bass/vox), and Al G. (guitar/vox), in the studio recording their debut release "DESOLATION CHIC." on BUBBLE EMPIRE RECORDINGS. 2006 brings us the freshly honed line-up of Sancho delaFantasy (guitar/vox), maria delaFantasy (bass/vox), Pat Cakes (drums/vox), and Al G. (guitar/vox), recording the anticipated follow-up to be released on the burgeoning FULL BREACH KICKS LABEL.
