Buzz Bands LA on The Whigs
7 months ago► Back in August, Athens, Ga., trio the Whigs did a little KCSN / Buzz Bands LA-presented show at the Federal Bar in North Hollywood and rocked the joint in a way that befitted the title of their new, fourth album, "Enjoy the Company." Tonight they pay L.A. another visit, playing the Bootleg Bar supported by the most excellent local trio the Record Company . 7 months agoGuitar, bass and drums, seared by the flame of urgent vocals. Athens, Ga., trio the Whigs haven't changed the formula much over seven years and three albums, nor have they needed to. Now subscribers to the straight-up rock ’n’ roll tenets of guitarist Parker Gispert, bassist Timothy Deaux and drummer Julian Dorio have another chapter waiting for them: The Whigs' fourth album "Enjoy the Company" will be Sept. 18 (via New West Records), and it not only has one of our favorite ablum covers of the year (see it after the jump), it's evidence the trio hasn't lost more here
