DJ/producer Joey Youngman began producing with a drum
machine and MIDI keyboard at age 11. He started his career producing tech house
and electro under his own name until he decided to explore a deeper house sound
and introduced the alias of Wolfgang Gartner.
More than a decade after laying
down his first beat on a four-track tape recorder, Gartner’s seeing his hard
work pay off with six No. 1-selling cuts on electronic dance music site
Beatport.com, including progressive tracks like the Beethoven-inspired
“Wolfgang’s 5th Symphony.” In an interview with Kirsty Kane of
Beatportal, Gartner said, “Everything I do has to be better than the last thing
I did.” His latest single “Undertaker” exceeds those expectations.
