xcella has been garnering more and more attention since the band came to be. former members of Austin's own Coco Candissi and Experimental Aircraft came together to form xcella in 2004 • dual female keyboardists play an array of keyboards which devise merging retro, new-wave melodies and danceable rhythms. mix in the clean guitar licks and a solid rhythm section, and a wave of movement ensues over their audiences • xcella performed in the SXSW musical festival in 2005. they were chosen by The Austin Chronicle as one of the "sleeper picks," as well as having been selected as a "recommended must see show." ~xo~
