MEGAREX is a Brazilian band that mixes Pop Rock with MPB (Brazilian Popular Music). A lot of different influences can be heard in the songs, which were written in Portuguese with very humorous lyrics. In the songs you will hear distorted guitar juxtaposed with violins and lots of typically Brazilian rhythms in the background. There is also a version of Primus’ "John The Fisherman". MEGAREX has reached the semifinals of VISA Composing Contest (the most important composing contest in Brazil).
