Peasant is 21 year old east coaster Damien DeRose. Recording and writing in a 1 bedroom apartment, he likes to eat bagels and swim in creeks(freshwater only). Recently put out an album called ‘on the ground’ on paper garden records. That’s "on the ground", as in "we’re on the ground, move in", in military fashion, not the depressing conclusion you may have drawn(shame on you!). Listen at Last.fm

over 1 year agoSinger/songwriters tend to be a depressive lot, staggering through the shallow of their own perversions while at times alienating their followers for getting stuck too deep in the mire.
