Austin Beatles Tribute Band, The Eggmen to Back All Songs

Announcing the 3rd Beatles Complete on Ukulele Festival and the first-ever ukulele marathon to be held during SXSW’s 22-year history. Last year’s Beatles Complete on Ukulele Festival was a 12-hour event held at Brooklyn Bowl in NYC. For SXSW, the festival will revert back to its original two-day, six-hours-per-day format, and take place on Wednesday March 17th and Thursday, March 18th from 12 – 6PM on the patio of Austin’s own Jaime’s Spanish Village, (802 Red River St. Austin, TX).

Although admission for the shows will be free, some proceeds from the event will be donated to EMI Music (the past two recipients were Warren Buffett and Yoko Ono).  “We just want to express our eternal gratitude to EMI for bringing us treasures like The Beatles. We want to celebrate, not mourn the demise of EMI in these final days of the label,” says organizer/music producer Roger Greenawalt of the struggling record company.
