Do512 - What to do in Austin

The unofficial festival during the festival, MESS WITH TEXAS is returning for the fourth year, bringing two days of awesomeness to an open space near you for the affordable price of free.

Friday Headliners include:

* Eclectic Psych/funk/rock band of minstrels Man Man, who released their Rabbit Habits LP last year.
* Acclaimed activist-songwriter Billy Bragg.
* Surf-punk pioneers Man, Or Astroman?, who soundtracked Space Ghost Coast to Coast in the 90‘s and have only gotten weirder since.
* Scottish shoegazers Frightened Rabbit, who just released their third album The Winter of Mixed Drinks this month.

Saturday’s lineup is just intense. Headliners:

* Death Metal freak show and all-around mindscrew GWAR. (Gallagher-style ponchos and/ or chastity belts NOT included, but recommended.)
* Perennial hard partier Andrew W.K., who amidst bizarre rumors regarding his true identity, just released his new double album Close Calls with Brick Walls, and has continued his daily routine of partying hard.
* Long Beach, California Psychedelic roots rock darlings Crystal Antlers.
* Austin/Denton/Brooklyn/Pluto glo-fi phenom Neon Indian, still riding high off a funky-fresh turn on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon.

The lineup also includes can’t miss sets from bands such as WOXY favorites Japandroids, Yacht, Oh No Ono, Holy F*ck, and Smith Westerns.

Unlike years past, the party has moved to the MWTX Lot at 1001 East 6th street.
