San Francisco’s indie outfit Paper Tiger has only released one EP, but if they keep writing songs like these we can only hope for a full-length, and soon. The handful of low-key rockers on their debut, Bright Dreams of Cold Revenge, are all catchy and well-crafted tracks brimming with potential. The disc bears none of the roughness that one might expect from an unsigned band’s first offering – instead, it’s immediately apparent that the band is composed of talented and polished musicians who love their craft. “Rise at Eight” is the standout track, though all four are worth at least a listen, and the entire EP is available for streaming on their myspace. Keep your eye on these guys.
