Come out for live music from The Bright Light Social Hour, free food and drink, and a record-setting bonanza. You’ll witness great feats of human achievement and tomfoolery and have the chance to join the ranks of world record setters like Dan Rollman (Longest "Boo" Directed Toward Cancer) and Shirley LaVergne (Most Cancer-Related Books Balanced On Head).
The goal is to raise awareness of the 70,000 young adults diagnosed with cancer each year. They’re the only age group whose survival rates haven’t increased since 1975. That sucks, and it’s time to do something about it.
More awareness means earlier screening, better treatment, and more survival. So bring your friends and use your amazing social media skills to help us BREAK CANCER. Before the event, follow BREAK CANCER on Facebook and Twitter.

Live music from The Bright Light Social Hour
The Bright Light Social Hour was named “Best Indie Band” at the 2010 Austin Music Awards and just released their debut full-length album, “The Bright Light Social Hour”. Recorded in five studios around Austin last summer, the album is founded on sun-drenched optimism, raucous youth, and an innovative brew of classic rock, contemporary indie, rhythm and blues, dance, and soul. The Bright Light Social Hour features Curtis Roush on guitar and vocals, Jack O'Brien on bass and vocals, A.J. Vincent on keyboards and vocals, and Joseph Mirasole on drums.
