Sylvie Lewis is a singer/songwriter, currently based in Rome, Italy. Born in London, England, she came to the United States in 1995 and studied at the Berkley College of Music. After some travelling, she relocated to Los Angeles, where her self-released EP "Beautiful Mess" was heard by Cheap Lullaby Records, and she was signed to a deal. She released her debut album Tangos and Tantrums in 2005 to good reviews, and has toured the United States and the United Kingdom since then. Her second album "Translations" was released in mid 2007, again to good critical reviews. Her music draws influences from folk, jazz, chanson and cabaret. Listen at Last.fm

    It's hard not to be charmed by Sylvie Lewis . The London chanteuse has been busy touring with the likes of Sondre Lerche and Adam Cohen, since 20052s "Tango and Tantrums," but Lewis has finally put out new alluring material. Her latest studio album "It's All True" has musical imprints from the many friends she's made from trotting around the globe, including producer Richard Swift. Lewis reunited with Swift in his Oregon studio about a year ago only to yield songs like the lilting "The Song I Sang Before I Met You" featuring U.K.'s electro-pop star Gary Go and more here
