The Owsley Brothers is a garage-blues trio from Freeport, Florida. Originally started in the Winter of 2010 as a one man recording project of multi-instrumentalist J.E. Reynolds to showcase his darker punk & blues underbelly. With the backing of bandmates B.Wise on guitar and John Tally on drums, Reynolds leads the Owsley Brothers down a genre-bending road of whiskey-soaked, neo-bluegrass informed garage rock and blues, with pounding drums, soulful vocals, reverb drenched guitars, and undeniably catchy hooks. Their debut EP "Pure Lust" received attention from a string of influential critics including My Old Kentucky Blog, Aquarium Drunkard, Indie Rock Café and many more. The live show is raw, rowdy and immediately engaging. Their upcoming studio album, Cobalt, is due out March 6th, 2012.
