The Harry Ransom Center presents the premiere of its museum theater program entitled Voices of the American Twenties on Thursday, February 15, at 7 p.m.
The program includes four short one-act plays that are inspired by the Ransom Center’s exhibition, The American Twenties. Three of the pieces are character-driven, featuring suffragist Emma Goldman, modern dancer Rosa Covarrubias, and a fictional, anonymous observer and participant in the Harlem Renaissance. The fourth piece examines specific artifacts in the exhibition, exploring their individual histories.
Seating is free, but limited.
After the premiere, one piece will be performed each weekend on Saturday and Sunday at 1 and 3 p.m. The piece will rotate each weekend from Feb. 3 to July 29.
