Hailing from Denton, TX, Midlake is one of the biggest surprises to emerge in 2006. Somehow, they became darlings of the British press and started selling out shows overseas. Their newest album "The Trials of Van Occupanther" is led off by one of the best singles of the year, "Roscoe." If you like the Decemberists or Neutral Milk Hotel, give this band a listen.
