"Graham Reynolds is "the drummer-pianist and leader of the Golden Arm Trio, an Austin, Texas-based power-jazz merger of John Zorn's Naked City and the 1970s radical-prog band Henry Cow. Reynolds -- like Zorn, without the heavy weather -- freely charges into other realms as a composer-performer: string quartets, symphonies, soundtracks, improvised super-rock, crossbreeding classical futurism and punk esprit." (Rolling Stone)

"DaringGraham Reynolds scores films, conducts unconventional symphonies, and rewrites the rules of modern jazz." (SF Weekly)

As part of the Alamo's 10-year anniversary celebrations Graham Reynolds (composer of Richard Linklater's A SCANNER DARKLY) reprises his acclaimed live score to Eisenstein's classic dramatization of the 1905 naval mutiny on Russia's Battleship Potemkin - for the first time in over eight years! What starts as a protest strike when the crew is given rotten meat for dinner ends in a street riot in Odessa - and a horrific police massacre. And just for this occasion, a new DVD featuring Graham's score will be made available in the lobby after the show!
