Sink your teeth into an underwater adventure at the biggest screen in Austin!

Presented by Jean-Michel Cousteau (son of famed underwater explorer Jacques Cousteau), Sharks 3D is a breathtaking new three-dimensional film experience that offers audiences an astonishing up-close encounter with the lions and tigers of the ocean.

Celebrate the opening of Sharks 3D on Saturday, February 24, from noon to 4 pm, and marvel at a 36-foot inflatable whale shark! Get up close and personal with shark artifacts, courtesy of the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department. There are other kid-friendly activities ranging from making your own "shark hats" to using various stencils to create your own shark. Activities are free, but regular admission applies to the film.

Join the expert team of ocean explorers that brought you Ocean Wonderland 3D on this unique round-the-globe expedition documenting the life of the ultimate predator.

"I am very pleased that Austin-area residents will now get the chance to share in this truly memorable encounter with the world's great shark species, such as the Great White, Whale Shark and Hammerhead," said Jean-Michel Cousteau, President of Ocean Futures Society. "Watching Sharks 3D is like pulling on a diving suit and swimming weightlessly with sharks all around. If you've ever wanted to know what it's really like to dive with sharks, this film is certainly a must-see. You can witness them as they truly are in their natural habitat -- not wicked man-eating creatures, as they are far too frequently depicted in modern feature films, but wild, fascinating and highly endangered animals that have been in existence since a million years before the dinosaurs."

Sharks 3D is presented by Jean-Michel Cousteau and produced by 3D Entertainment and Gavin McKinney Productions. The film is directed by Jean-Jacques Mantello and showcases original music by Christophe Jacquelin.

Gavin McKinney is the director of photography and Francois Mantello the executive producer. Sharks 3D is distributed worldwide by 3D Entertainment. Sharks 3D is supported and endorsed by Ocean Futures Society and the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), as well as PADI's Project Aware and Reef Check. The film is rated "G" for general audiences.
