OUTDOOR SHOW DOORS @ 7PM ON THE ONE The carbon dioxide emissions created by powering the Michael Franti and Spearhead show at Stubb’s are offset by renewable energy provided by Green Mountain Energy. http://www.greenmoutainenergy.com/ The City of Austin, Texas will proudly proclaim March 3rd “Michael Franti Power To The Peaceful Day” in conjunction with the Anti- recording artists’ performance at Stubb’s Bar-B-Q that day as part of its Yell Fire! Tour. A distinction typically offered to large non-profit organizations, Mayor Will Wynn and City Council Member Mike Martinez will recognize Franti’s efforts for peace with a presentation from the stage. Additionally, through a donation of renewable energy credits from Green Mountain Energy, the Austin performance will offset the 4,400 pounds of CO2 used to power Franti’s Stubb’s performance. |

Michael Franti returns to Austin with his high-energy, festival-ready blend of upbeat reggae styles. He has become one of the most reliable voices from within the industry for the environment. Franti and his band really practice what they preach, making sure that the greenhouse gasses released at the show will be offset. I hope that they account for the reefer smoke as well.
Hope to see some do512’ers out there…
