This is the movie that bills itself as “The Greatest Hollywood Martial Arts Movie Ever Made!” It shouldn’t surprise anyone familiar with the hard-sell tactics employed by exploitation film promoters that not one shred of this claim stands up under scrutiny. Not only is it not great, it’s terrible. And it’s not a Hollywood movie at all - it’s from South Africa. But here’s the good news: it’s the kind of hyper-dumb karate movie that will delight the drooling half-wit underneath your civilized veneer. It’s got an ass-kicking karate midget, a bitter Nazi who forms the greatest army of (white) karate guys in the world, and an unstoppable hero named Steve. If this goes over well, we will show you the completely loco sequel KILL AND KILL AGAIN. (Lars)
