Local rock show, albeit varied stylistically. Exit The Sun, featuring ex-members of the long gone but very much remembered metal stalwart Hekill 3, and their music is damn near as aggressive as their old band. The Lower 4th features ex-members of The Proles, who mined territory that, to me, sounded like Joy Division and Jesus and Mary Chain...the L4th works in a similar vein, however more aggressively as well. The Story Of is more of a prog rock/pop affair, combining the brains and schizophrenia of bands like Yes and ELP with a light pop element that reminds me of the catchiest elements of the Flaming Lips. Mumpsie opens.
