Jeffrey, tells the story of Jeffrey, a self-proclaimed sex-a-holic, who vows off sex indefinitely. In walks Steve — handsome, rugged, and the man of Jeffrey's dreams — who makes Jeffrey doubt his decision. To compound matters, everything turns out to be perfect about Steve, except for the fact he is HIV+. Rather than being a sappy script about the internal dilemma of dating someone determined to have the AIDS virus, Paul Rudnick's script zaps the audience with clever situations and predicaments, in and out of reality, to a hysterical, poignant result.
