Yuri's Night is a global celebration of human space travel, held annually on April 12. Yuri's Night commemorates the historic first flight of Cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin on April 12, 1961, and the first launch of Space Shuttle Columbia exactly 20 years later.
There are currently more than 100 parties planned in various places around the world for Yuri's Night 2007. Find one near you and come celebrate mankind's baby steps away from our Earthly cradle.
Yuri's Night 2007 will be celebrated in Austin at Red 7 from 9pm-2am with performances by The Space Elevators, Hyperbubble, DJ Schtew & MC Flint, You Make Engine, DJ Jason Segna, & Rage Ranger. A live digital art show will be presented by Virtual Life Media. Don't miss it!
