The 20th Anniversary SafePlace Walk is a major fundraiser and a great opportunity to celebrate your commitment to a community free of rape, sexual abuse and domestic violence. The Walk route is 2.2 miles through the city and past the Capitol.

In Texas during 2005, there were 187,811 domestic violence incidents reported and 143 women were killed by their intimate partner (Texas Department of Public Safety and the Texas Council on Family Violence). More than 330,000 rapes occur each year in Texas- over 226,000 children and 104,000 adults (National Crime Victims Research and Treatment Center). For more information, to Register and Volunteer:
