Austin Music Foundation's 33rd installment of its Music Industry Boot Camp (MIBC) seminar series will be held Monday, April 30, 2007 from 6:30 to 8:30 pm at Emo’s Lounge. This seminar, entitled "Road Warriors: The DIY Approach to Successful Booking and Touring,” features a panel comprised of five musicians that will share valuable lessons about how to successfully book shows and plan a tour.
The panelists will share their collective real-life experiences from many years of tours and shows. They will also offer valuable tips about how to control costs and survive on the road.
Joining AMF for this discussion are Matt Drenik (Lions and Talent Buyer for Trophy’s), Davis McLarty (Davis McLarty Agency), Clayton Mills (Dixie Witch), Josh Robins (The Invincible Czars), and Thomas Turner (Ghostland Observatory).
Following the panel, AMF will facilitate roundtable discussions in which audience members can discuss individual questions with panelists in a small group format. Music Industry Boot Camp seminars are offered as a public service to the community and attendance is free of charge.
