Rachel Lynn has been playing music for almost thirty years. She began playing the piano at the age of 6.

She took up the guitar after moving to Austin and is really happy about that because that piano was way too freaking heavy to be hauling around to gigs. She has played regularly at the Red Eye Fly, and also frequently sits in on El Mercado's singer-songwriter night and enjoys playing venues as varied as Hill's Cafe and La Tazza Fresca.

She got her start playing at various Austin open mic nights (Halcyon, Ruta Maya, Gino's, Cactus Cafe, among others) and still supports this community that has supported her throughout her singer-songwriter career.
