Creative Opportunity Orchestra kicks off its sixth annual New Jazz Series with a couple of pairings. New Orleans saxophonist Kidd Jordan has been at the forefront of the Big Easy’s avant-garde for decades; drumming dynamo Alvin Fielder is a founding member of Chicago’s Association for the Advancement of Creative Musicians and an alumnus of Sun Ra’s Arkestra.
