Think the Dead Science went to art school? Good chance. The Seattle trio’s first order of business is poppy, sexually charged noir, best heard on 2005’s Frost Giant (Absolutely Kosher). Frontman Sam Mickens also collaborates with experimental theatre troupe Implied Violence, which is “driven by boredom and disgust for theatre.” Nick Hennies of the Weird Weeds snares solo, and if that’s not enough to fit in your frontal lobe, there’s a Wu-Tang dance party afterward. – Audra Schroeder
